Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as flexible as possible. Crafting your ideal on-water experience requires advance preparation, and our cancellation policy reflects our commitment to balancing your needs with our operational realities.

Voluntary Cancellation or Rescheduling

To ensure fairness to all our guests, we adhere to the following cancellation and rescheduling timelines. All requests must be made in writing via email to: support@funseekersboatcharters.com

If you cancel more than thirty (30) days before your charter:
You are eligible for a full refund of your deposit, minus any non-refundable booking and credit card processing fees (typically 5-6%). However, you may simply reschedule your charter to a future date within the same season, subject to availability, at no extra cost.

If you cancel 15 to 29 days before your charter:
Cancellations within this period will result in the forfeiture of your 50% deposit, no exceptions. However, you may simply reschedule your charter to a future date within the same season, subject to availability, at no extra cost.

If you do not cancel more than fifteen (15) days before your charter:
Cancellations not made at least fifteen (15) days before the charter, will be charged the full charter fee, less your deposit amount. However, you may simply reschedule your charter to a future date within the same season, subject to availability, at no extra cost.

Weather-Related Cancellations

Your safety is our top priority. We monitor weather conditions closely and do not operate in hazardous situations.

Our Policy: We do not cancel charters for light rain or overcast skies. The final decision to cancel due to dangerous weather (such as high winds, heavy rain, or lightning) rests with the captain and is typically made on the day of the charter.

If We Cancel:
Should we need to cancel your charter due to unsafe weather conditions, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the opportunity to reschedule for a future date.

If You Cancel:
If you decide to cancel due to weather that we have deemed safe for operation, our standard cancellation policy (detailed above) shall apply.

Late Arrivals and No-Shows

• Late Arrivals: Your charter period begins at the scheduled time. We cannot extend your time on the water to accommodate late arrivals. Please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes early to allow for parking and boarding. There is no compensation for arriving late or returning early.
• No-Shows: Failing to arrive for your charter without prior notification will result in a charge of the full charter amount.

Important Details

• Non-Refundable Deposits: Many of our charters require a deposit to secure your date. These deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in our cancellation policy.
• Processing Fees: Please be aware that booking fees and credit card processing fees (around 5–6%) are non-refundable in most cancellation scenarios.
• Refunds: Any applicable refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days and issued to the original form of payment.
